Grandmother Wisdom
I love being a grandmother. And I especially love being a grandmother who is able to support my grandchildren.
I first became a grandmother in 1996. I was just finishing a massage certification program at the Edgar Cayce School of Massage in Virginia Beach, Virginia and looking forward to starting my massage business in Fargo, North Dakota.
It’s difficult to describe the emotions I felt when holding her for the first time. I literally felt my heart expand and engulf her as I held her. The connection was immediate. Twenty-seven years later, I am now a grandmother to 10 beautiful grandchildren. Each one is unique and each have brought so much love and joy into our family.
Shortly after my first granddaughter was born, I met my spiritual teacher, Marie Diamond. Through the teachings and methods created by Marie, I was able to see my grandchildren beyond their personalities and to begin seeing and supporting them on a soul level. I learned about the unique vibrations each grandchild brought to our family and was I able to help them in ways beyond what I thought I could ever do as a grandmother.
Grandmothers play a very important role in the family, not only on a physical level, but on an energetic and spiritual level as well. Grandmothers hold love and wisdom for their children and grandchildren and because they do not generally live in the same house, grandmothers are able to gain a different perspective not always possible for the parents.
Grandmothers generally have more time to support and more resources … both knowledge and gained experience … to help their children. Through the studies I have done over the years, I have been able to support my grandchildren by releasing their karma, clearing their energy fields of attachments and clearing their spaces of energies not supporting them.
In this series of blogs, I will be sharing some of my stories and, hopefully, they will help you recognize the amazing souls who are being born into your own family. Many of the children being born over the last 40 years are bringing wisdom, knowledge and healing to our world. When we begin to listen to them, acknowledge and trust the information they are sharing, we can then understand the importance of helping them bring forward the gifts they are here to share with our families and humanity.
