Awakening Our Spiritual Senses
We all are very familiar with our five physical senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. But do you know that these senses also exist beyond the physical?
As you expand your consciousness and become a multi- dimensional being, your spiritual senses begin to awaken.
One of the things that allows this to happen is the awakening of your spiritual glands. The three spiritual glands include your pineal, thymus and hypothalamus. Although these glands play a role on the physical level, it is when they are awakened on the spiritual level that the spiritual senses are activated.
When the spiritual senses begin to awaken, it does take some people by surprise and they might not understand what is happening.
The five spiritual senses include clairvoyance (sight), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), along with smelling and tasting.
When the spiritual senses become activated, it shows up differently for everyone. There is no order to how they are activated and although some people take classes to activate these senses, they do open up even without taking a class or reading a book.
After starting the Inner Diamond meditation program, I began having clairvoyant dreams. I had not taken a class or read a book on clairvoyance but the dreams started happening. These dreams gave me information about a person or situation that I could not access with the mind. The information I received was usually about a client that was coming in the next day and it helped me know how to help them in a bigger way. A few times, the dreams were something I needed to know to help one of my grandchildren.
As I continued to consciously create a connection to my higher self, my clairaudience was also activated. There are times during meditation, I receive a very clear message that helps guide me in the right direction.
One of the first times this happened, I was trying to stop drinking coffee as I knew intuitively it was having a negative effect on my nervous system. I had succeeded in reducing my intake but couldn’t quite totally let go of it. As I was sitting in meditation one morning, I heard a very loud voice say ‘BAD COFFEE”. I didn’t have to figure out what the message was about and it helped me move more quickly from coffee to tea. I have not had coffee since 2002.
Another time, I was looking for a place to rent for my healing practice. I had looked at so many places and was getting frustrated. One morning, again in meditation, I heard a voice direct me where to look. I followed the advice given and by the end of the day, I found my new space.
When we first open up to our spiritual senses, the message come in loud and clear as they need to get our attention. The more we listen, trust and follow the messages, however, they become softer and quieter. They change from shouting at us to a gentle whisper. The gentle whisper is what most people know as the ‘still, soft voice’ within.
To access and cultivate your five spiritual senses on a regular basis, it is helpful to create a conscious connection with your higher self. The Inner Diamond program will teach you how to do this. Please visit my website at www.AnnetteRugolo.com for more information.
