When I first started doing energy healing in 2001, mothers would sometimes bring their children in for some energy work. They were usually at a point where nothing else was working so bringing them to me for energy work was their last resort. The combination of cranial sacral therapy and the energy work proved to be very effective.
At first, I thought I was helping the child to heal but what I quickly discovered was that I was just holding space while they were healing themselves. What they demonstrated for me was the power we have within to heal ourselves.
To keep the children from getting restless while on the treatment table, I would ask them to close their eyes and tell me what color they were seeing. Every child saw and described the colors they were seeing as I helped them shift their energy.
One 9 year- old surprised me as he reported seeing all of the colors of his chakras as they were being cleared. He started with red, then moved to orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (he didn’t have the language for this one) and violet.
As he saw the colors of his chakras, he also saw some brown or black energy that filled the chakra. He then saw a white light come in to clean it until it was the pure color of the chakra. This continued to happen for each of his chakras until they were all cleared.
As a 9 year- old, I’m sure he had never heard the word ‘chakra’, let alone know the color for each of them in order!
A 6 year- old boy was brought in by his mother because he had been experiencing headaches for six weeks and nothing they were doing was helping. After being on the table for only a few minutes, he became bored telling me what colors he was seeing.
So, instead, I asked him to show me where his head hurt. He pointed to the side of his head and I asked him what color it needed. He immediately said the color blue. I asked him to fill that part of his head with the color blue and he did.
This continued 3 more times and as he pointed to different parts of his head, each area needed a different color. After less than 10 minutes, having filled his head with color, his headache was gone for the first time in 6 months.
Our children are connected to the vibrations of color within and around us. They have also demonstrated a knowledge of what to do with them. They intuitively understand that these colors are frequencies or vibrations of light that are available to all of us.
Knowing this, we can begin communicating with our children through the language of color. Instead of asking what your child wants to wear, ask them what color they want to wear. Once you understand the language of color, you can then begin to know what your child needs.
A great example of this is the mother who was concerned when she saw her 3 year – old daughter standing alone in a corner every time she picked her up from daycare. After learning about the colors, she started asking her daughter what color she wanted each day.
Each day for a week, the daughter chose the color Fuchsia. And each day that week when she picked her daughter up from daycare, she was playing with the other children and not standing alone in the corner.
The Fuchsia color holds the quality of collaboration and the mother then understood what color frequency her daughter needed in order to connect and collaborate with the other children.
To help you get started, I have created a list of colors and their qualities. More information, along with a color chart, is given in the Inner Diamond classes I teach.
Learning the language of color for yourself, will help you support your child as you connect through a language he/she already knows.
